The Cotton Association of India (CAI), established in 1921, has been a pivotal organisation in the Indian cotton sector, facilitating trade, ensuring quality standards, and providing critical market intelligence. Over the years, CAI has actively engaged in capacity-building initiatives, research collaborations, and farmer-oriented programmes to enhance cotton productivity and quality across the value chain. Our Association continues to play a key role in bridging the gap between farmers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers.
As part of our ongoing efforts to support cotton farmers, CAI is organising a two-days Farmers’ Training Programme on 11th April 2025 – 12th April, 2025, aimed at educating growers on best agricultural practices, sustainability, pest management, and quality enhancement. It is anticipated that around 100 farmers from different parts of the country will be attending the training programme. The programme will feature expert-led sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions to equip farmers with the knowledge needed to improve yields and fiber quality. This initiative is expected to benefit a large number of farmers, directly impacting cotton production and supply chain efficiency.
We request all the esteemed ginner members to nominate five farmers associated with you. The Cotton Association of India (CAI) will bear the travel (as per actual, restricted to sleeper class by train/bus), boarding, and lodging expenses for the farmers. As space is limited, participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to your active involvement in strengthening the cotton value chain!
Your support will strengthen our collective efforts to uplift the cotton value chain. Let’s work together towards a more prosperous and informed farming community!
Best regards, Yours sincerely,
(Amrendra Singh) Secretary
